Photo Sensor

Photoelectric Sensors detect photo-optical workpieces. A.v.Engineers provides many varieties of Sensor, including diffuse-reflective, through-beam, retro-reflective, and distance-settable Sensors, as well as Sensors with either built-in or separate amplifiers.

Diffuse Mode Sensor

Diffuse Mode Photoelectric Sensors operate by emitting a light beam directly onto the surface of a target object, and detection occurs when the light is reflected back to the sensor’s receiver. Unlike through-beam or retro-reflective types, diffuse sensors do not require an external reflector or a separate transmitter, which makes them simpler and easier to install.

These sensors are highly effective for detecting objects with varying shapes, colors, and materials at short to medium ranges. However, the sensing distance may vary depending on the surface color, texture, and reflectivity of the target.

Retro-Reflector Sensor

Separate Amplifier

With these Photoelectric Sensors, the Amplifier and Sensor Head are separated to enable downsizing and facilitate adjustment.

Built-in-Amplifier

Built-in Amplifier Photoelectric Sensors are compact sensors in which the sensing element and the amplifier circuit are integrated into a single unit. This eliminates the need for external amplifiers, making installation easier and reducing wiring complexity.

Built-in Power supply

These Photoelectric Sensors help achieve a total cost reduction because a wide AC or DC power supply range can be used.

Area Sensors

Area Sensors are Multi-beam Through-beam Sensors used to sense wide areas. The detection width of the Sensor can be selected according to the application.
